122.93% Increase In CMK Fee Schedule

The fee tariff for 2023 regarding the payments to be made to defense counsel or attorneys appointed upon the request of the investigation and prosecution authorities in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) was published in the Official Gazette. Within the scope of the tariff, fees were increased by 122.93 percent.

According to the tariff published with the signatures of Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ and Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, in the transactions for legal assistance in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code, defense counsel and attorneys will be paid 1447 liras for the cases pursued in the investigation phase, 2,254 liras for the cases pursued in criminal judgeships of peace, 2,481 liras for the cases pursued in criminal courts of first instance and juvenile courts, 1036 liras for the cases pursued in accordance with the summary procedure, and 4,451 liras for the cases pursued in heavy criminal courts and juvenile heavy criminal courts.

In addition, appointed defense counsels and attorneys will receive 2,481 liras for cases pursued in courts such as the criminal court of execution and the criminal court of intellectual and industrial rights and execution judgeships, 4,451 liras for cases with hearings in regional courts of justice and 5,11 liras for cases with hearings in the Court of Cassation.
