On April 19, 2017, we filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Anatolia Public Prosecutor’s Office against XXXXX XXXXX, a member of the board of directors of our client XXXXX Inc., due to threats made via email and calls to his mobile, work, and home phones from a landline number. These threats were made because he participated in a tender held by the Public Procurement Authority on XX.XX.XXXX. Following our criminal complaint, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation under investigation number 2017/XXXXXX. Considering the magnitude of the tender and the fact that the threats were made to our client’s personal mobile phone, which is not easily accessible to the authorities, the threats in question are quite serious. Given the serious and imminent nature of the threat against our client and the fact that our client’s job exposes him to constant and overt threats, we request that police protection be assigned to our client and that other necessary legal measures be taken to eliminate these threats.
