We filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Anatolian Public Prosecutor’s Office on 19.04.2017 due to the threats made against our client, XXXXX XXXXX, a member of the board of directors of XXXXX Joint Stock Company, via e-mail and by calling his mobile, work and home phone from his fixed phone number due to his participation in the tender dated XX.XX.XXXX held by the Public Procurement Authority. Upon our criminal complaint, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation with the investigation number 2017/XXXXXX. The threat subject to the complaint is quite serious considering the size of the tender and the fact that the authorities threatened are our client’s personal cell phone, which is not easily accessible to people. Due to the serious and imminent nature of the threat directed against our client and the fact that the client’s job position is susceptible to constant and open threats, we request that police protection be allocated to the client and that other necessary legal measures be taken to eliminate these threats.
