Note: Persons who have attained the age of 15, who have been rendered adult by the court, cannot marry even if they have attained the age of 16, since they have not attained the age of 16.
2- Person Restricted to Marry: Those who are under guardianship or custody and have completed the age of seventeen are legally incapable of marrying, although they are adults. This also applies to those who have reached the age of 16 and are in extraordinary circumstances.
Persons aged 17 and adults can marry with the permission of their parents (if there is only one person with custody or guardianship), with the consent of a single person. (Legal representative consent must be in writing and notarized). If he is getting married for adoption, he gives the permission since the custody will belong to the adopter. (Turkish Civil Code article 126 and article 127)
Those who have reached the extraordinary marriageable age (16 years and extraordinary situation) can marry with the permission of the judge.
3- Person Without Full License to Marry: Persons who have not reached the age of marriage or persons who have reached maturity but lack the power to distinguish are completely incapable of the right to marry. They cannot marry by legal representative or court decision.
